Drainage system installation is how we keep water from pooling around your foundation or turning your yard into a swamp. We dig trenches, lay perforated pipe, and grade the soil so water flows where it needs to go. In Spring, where we get heavy rain and the clay soil doesn't drain well on its own, a proper system is the difference between a dry basement and a wet one.
We size the system based on your lot and what's actually happening with water on your property. That means we look at where rain collects, how your soil drains, and where your foundation sits. We use 4-inch perforated PVC pipe in most cases, sloped right so gravity does the work. The pipe goes into a gravel bed, which we cover and tie into your yard's final grade.
When we're done, you won't see much. The system works underground. What you'll notice is that the low spot in your yard doesn't stay soggy for days after a storm, and your crawlspace or basement stays dry. That's the whole point.

How deep do you bury the drainage pipe?
We go 18 to 24 inches down in most cases, depending on your soil and frost line. Deep enough that it won't get crushed or exposed, but we don't go deeper than we need to.
What happens if water still pools after installation?
We make sure the slope is right before we leave. If pooling shows up later, it's usually because something changed or the system needs a cleanout. Call us and we'll come back and look.
Can you tie my drainage into the city system?
Not in most areas of Spring. City codes don't allow it. We run drainage to daylight, which means the water exits at a lower point on your property, or into a dry well if you don't have that option.
